What exactly is a credit?
A credit is a flat unit of generation cost. Text post = 4 credits. Quote graphic = 6. Listicle video = 8. Blog or newsletter = 17. Clipped short = 17. Photo / Persona Photo / Persona Tweet = 24 each. Naturalistic video = 25. Marketing short = 71. Carousel (5 slides) = 120. AI Avatar formats (Persona Short / Persona Frames / Persona HeyGen) = ~530 each. With the 500 free trial credits you can mix and match — for example, 1 carousel + 1 marketing short + 2 photo posts + 2 listicle videos + 5 text posts + a quote graphic = ~280 credits and 13 outputs.
Do I have to bring my own API keys?
Depends on the tier. Founding Member ($39/mo) is BYO-only — you bring your own OpenAI / HeyGen / ElevenLabs / Kie keys, permanently. Every other paid plan runs on Kompozy’s pooled keys (Claude, OpenAI, HeyGen, etc.) and credits cover the cost. Enterprise customers can plug in their own keys to bypass our markup if they prefer.
What’s the Founding Member tier?
A beta-only $39/mo subscription, locked at that rate for life as long as your subscription stays active. You bring your own API keys (so you absorb your own inference cost — that’s why it’s priced this low) and you get unlimited generation within your provider quotas, full autopilot, and all 9 publishing platforms. Signups close August 31, 2026 — after that the tier is closed permanently. Existing founding members keep their $39 rate even after public tiers launch at $99–$1,997/mo. If you cancel and come back later, the rate is gone.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your billing period. Credits don’t roll over to a free tier, but anything already published stays live on your platforms. Re-subscribe any time — your workspaces, sources, and personas are preserved.
Do I own the content the engine produces?
Yes. You retain full rights to every output. Kompozy doesn’t train on your content or claim any license beyond what’s required to run the pipeline (storage, scheduling, posting on your behalf).
Will the AI sound like me?
Each workspace is a brand. You set a Persona Brief (voice, tone, banned words, style references) and the engine adheres to it across every output. Avatar shorts use HeyGen face/voice cloning if you opt in. Outputs run through your Persona Brief on every generation — not just at setup.
Is there a free-forever plan?
Not yet. Today the free trial is 14 days / 500 credits / no card required — enough to generate one of every non-HeyGen output type with room left over. Drop into the Creator tier ($49/mo) when you want to keep going.
How does autopilot avoid posting garbage?
Autopilot is opt-in per source. You can set a review queue (default), a tone-and-format gate, or a fully autonomous lane. Every post can be inspected, edited, or rejected before it ships, even with autopilot on.
